My Name Is Lucky – Intro

This short intro is to a film I shot while in South Africa this past summer. The film follows one man, “Lucky” who spends his time watching after and caring for often neglected leprosy affected people. The full film will remain unfinished until future funding is received to complete the project.

Before I start the filming of my first solo, currently untitled, documentary on the current state of South African public health care around the country I went on a short trip to Sabi Sands game reserve and brought a nifty infrared camera. Something a little different. Enjoy.

These images were captured while on a two month documentary shoot in Southern India in the fall of 2008. The main story I shot while on this trip, about Leprosy, can be viewed in it’s own gallery called “The Good Doctors: A Look Into Leprosy”.

Karthekai Deepam scene from “Svara”

This extended scene is from the 2008 documentary “Svara” which chronicles life in the South of India by a team of 20 journalists.
